A vulnerability was found in Active Design Newsletter Popup PRO with Voucher Code Module up to 2.6.0 on PrestaShop (PrestaShop Module). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function NewsletterpopsendVerificationModuleFrontController::checkEmailSubscription. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. In the module "Newsletter Popup PRO with Voucher/Coupon code" (newsletterpop) before version 2.6.1 from Active Design for PrestaShop, a guest can perform SQL injection in affected versions. The method `NewsletterpopsendVerificationModuleFrontController::checkEmailSubscription()` has sensitive SQL calls that can be executed with a trivial http call and exploited to forge a SQL injection.
The weakness was shared 11/15/2023. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2023-47308 since 11/06/2023. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.
Upgrading to version 2.6.1 eliminates this vulnerability.
