Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Adobe RoboHelp Server (the affected version is unknown). This issue affects the function resolveDistinguishedName. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a ldap injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-90. The product constructs all or part of an LDAP query using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended LDAP query when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality.
The weakness was published 11/15/2023 as ZDI-23-1650. The advisory is shared at zerodayinitiative.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2023-22272 since 12/19/2022. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.
