A vulnerability was found in Grocy 4.0.3. It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects an unknown function of the file /equipment/ of the component Equipment Description Handler. Cross Site Scripting vulnerability in Grocy v.4.0.3 allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary code and obtain sensitive information via the equipment description component within /equipment/ component.
The weakness was shared 11/16/2023. After contacting the project maintainer of Grocy for a coordinated disclosure of CVE-2024-8370 he requested via email on 2024-09-01 and 2024-09-02 the removal of all mentions of the product from VulDB. We do never comply with such suppression requests as explained in our Revoke Policy which is why the vulnerability entries remain available to their full extent. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2023-48200 since 11/13/2023. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
