A vulnerability was found in Apache Derby up to 10.16.1.1. It has been classified as problematic. Affected is an unknown code block of the component Authenticator. The manipulation of the argument username with an unknown input leads to a ldap injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-90. The product constructs all or part of an LDAP query using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended LDAP query when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on availability.
