A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Ipswitch Ipswitch Collaboration Suite (Groupware Software). Buffer overflow in the IMAP daemon (IMAP4d32.exe) for Ipswitch Collaboration Suite (ICS) before 8.15 Hotfix 1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via a long EXAMINE command.
The bug was discovered 03/10/2005. The weakness was released 05/02/2005 (Website). The advisory is shared at securitytracker.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2005-0707 since 03/10/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally.
