Details
A vulnerability was found in Chamilo LMS up to 1.11.20 (Content Management System) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code block of the file /main/webservices/additional_webservices.php of the component File Upload. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Path traversal in file upload functionality in `/main/webservices/additional_webservices.php` in Chamilo LMS <= v1.11.20 allows unauthenticated attackers to perform stored cross-site scripting attacks and obtain remote code execution via arbitrary file write.
