A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in MISP up to 2.4.178. This issue affects some unknown functionality in the library app/Lib/Tools/EventTimelineTool.php of the component Event Timeline Widget. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-79. The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users. Impacted is integrity.

The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
