An issue in Netgate pfSense Plus v.23.05.1 and before and pfSense CE v.2.7.0 allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via a crafted request to the packet_capture.php file.
The weakness was presented 12/07/2023 as 14809. The advisory is shared at redmine.pfsense.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2023-48123 since 11/13/2023. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1202 for this issue.
