A vulnerability was found in E-Xoops (Content Management System) (affected version not known) and classified as problematic. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file viewforum.php. The manipulation of the argument viewcat with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in exoops allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via (1) the sortdays parameter to viewforum.php or (2) the viewcat parameter to index.php.
