A vulnerability was found in EverShop NPM up to 1.0.0-rc.7 (Software Library). It has been classified as critical. Affected is the function DELETE of the file api/files of the component Request Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory Traversal vulnerability in EverShop NPM versions before v.1.0.0-rc.8 allows a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information via a crafted request to the DELETE function in api/files endpoint.
