A vulnerability has been found in Zimbra zm-ajax up to 8.8.1 (Groupware Software) and classified as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is the function XFormItem.prototype.setError of the file WebRoot/js/ajax/dwt/xforms/XFormItem.js. The manipulation of the argument message with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-79. The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users. As an impact it is known to affect integrity.
The weakness was released 07/24/2017 as 8d039d6efe80780adc40c6f670c06d21de272105. The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-20188.
