A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Woltlab Burning Board up to 2.x (Content Management System). This vulnerability affects the function verify_email. The manipulation of the argument email with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. SQL injection vulnerability in the verify_email function in Woltlab Burning Board 2.x and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the $email variable.
