A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in Honeywell ControlEdge UOC (version now known). This affects some unknown processing. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a absolute path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-36. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize absolute path sequences such as "/abs/path" that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory. An attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to files being read from the Honeywell Experion ControlEdge VirtualUOC and ControlEdge UOC.
