A vulnerability was found in PostNuke 0.760 Rc3 (Content Management System) and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file pnadminapi.php. The manipulation of the argument skin with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in pnadminapi.php in the Xanthia module in PostNuke 0.760-RC3 allows remote administrators to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the skin parameter.
