A vulnerability has been found in Invision Power Services Invision Gallery up to 1.3.0 (Photo Gallery Software) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block. The manipulation of the argument rating with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in Invision Gallery before 1.3.1 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via (1) the comment parameter in an editcomment action or (2) the rating parameter when voting on a photo.
The bug was discovered 06/10/2005. The weakness was disclosed 06/09/2005 by James Bercegay with Gulftech (Website). The advisory is shared for download at gulftech.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2005-1948 since 06/14/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.
