A vulnerability was found in Adam Mmedici File Upload Manager (affected version unknown) and classified as critical. mtnpeak.net File Upload Manager does not properly check user authentication for certain actions, which allows remote attackers to provide a modified base64-encoded file parameter and (1) read arbitrary files via the "view" action or (2) delete arbitrary files via the del action.
The weakness was disclosed 06/12/2005 by Blackshoe (Website). The advisory is available at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2005-1957 since 06/14/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
