A vulnerability has been found in ePing Plugin on e107 (e107 Plugin) (affected version unknown) and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function eping_validaddr of the file functions.php. The manipulation of the argument eping_host with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-269. The eping_validaddr function in functions.php for the ePing plugin for e107 portal allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters after a valid argument to the eping_host parameter.
The weakness was disclosed 06/16/2005 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2005-1949 since 06/14/2005.
