Details
A vulnerability was found in Salims Softhouse JAF CMS (Content Management System). It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown code block of the file index.php of the component Error Message Handler. The manipulation of the argument disp with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
Just another flat file (JAF) CMS before 3.0 Final allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via (1) an * (asterisk) in the id parameter, (2) a blank id parameter, or (3) an * (asterisk) in the disp parameter to index.php, which reveals the path in an error message. NOTE: a followup suggests that this may be a directory traversal or file inclusion vulnerability.
