A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in QNAP Systems Photo Station. This issue affects an unknown function. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. A path traversal vulnerability has been reported to affect Photo Station. If exploited, the vulnerability could allow authenticated administrators to read the contents of unexpected files and expose sensitive data via a network. We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following version: Photo Station 6.4.2 ( 2023/12/15 ) and later
