Details
A vulnerability has been found in Linux Kernel up to 5.4.123/5.10.41/5.12.8 and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function __nfs_pageio_add_request of the component NFS. The impact remains unknown. CVE summarizes:
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFS: Fix an Oopsable condition in __nfs_pageio_add_request() Ensure that nfs_pageio_error_cleanup() resets the mirror array contents, so that the structure reflects the fact that it is now empty. Also change the test in nfs_pageio_do_add_request() to be more robust by checking whether or not the list is empty rather than relying on the value of pg_count.
The advisory is shared for download at git.kernel.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2021-47167. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 276342 (TencentOS Server 2: kernel (TSSA-2024:0557)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
