Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as very critical, was found in vim up to 6.3.081 (Word Processing Software). Affected is some unknown functionality. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
vim 6.3 before 6.3.082, with modelines enabled, allows external user-assisted attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in the (1) glob or (2) expand commands of a foldexpr expression for calculating fold levels.
