Details
A vulnerability was found in Delta Electronics DVW-W02W2-E2 up to 2.5.2. It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown part of the component Web Administration Interface. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a command injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-77. The product constructs all or part of a command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
The Delta Electronics DVW-W02W2-E2 devices expose a web administration interface to users. This interface implements two features (access control lists management, WPS pin setup) that are affected by command injections and stack overflows vulnerabilities. Successful exploitation of these flaws would allow remote authenticated attackers to gain remote command execution with elevated privileges on the affected devices. This issue affects DVW-W02W2-E2 through version 2.5.2.
The weakness was published by Quentin Kaiser. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2024-3871. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely.
