A vulnerability was found in Adobe Version Cue 1.0 and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown part of the component VCNative. VCNative for Adobe Version Cue 1.0 and 1.0.1, as used in Creative Suite 1.0 and 1.3, and when running on Mac OS X with Version Cue Workspace, creates temporary log files with predictable names, which allows local users to modify arbitrary files via a symlink attack.

The weakness was released 08/11/2005 by vade79 (Website). The advisory is shared at adobe.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2005-1842 since 06/03/2005.
