A vulnerability has been found in Inter7 SqWebMail 5.0.4 and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown function. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in SqWebMail 5.0.4 and possibly other versions allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via an HTML e-mail containing tags with strings that contain ">" or other special characters, which is not properly sanitized by SqWebMail.
The bug was discovered 08/29/2005. The weakness was shared 09/02/2005 by Jakob Balle with Secunia Research (Website). The advisory is available at secunia.com.
