A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in phpCommunityCalendar 4.0/4.0.1/4.0.3 (Calendar Software). This affects an unknown code block of the file login.php of the component Login. The manipulation of the argument LocationID with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in phpCommunityCalendar 4.0.3, and possibly earlier versions, allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) login field in login.php or (2) LocationID parameter to week.php.
The bug was discovered 09/07/2005. The weakness was presented 09/14/2005 by rgod (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2005-2880 since 09/14/2005. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.
