Details
A vulnerability was found in Linux Kernel up to 5.4.133/5.10.51/5.12.18/5.13.3. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function scsi_add_host of the component megaraid_sas. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory leak vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-401. The product does not sufficiently track and release allocated memory after it has been used, which slowly consumes remaining memory. Impacted is availability. The summary by CVE is:
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: megaraid_sas: Fix resource leak in case of probe failure The driver doesn't clean up all the allocated resources properly when scsi_add_host(), megasas_start_aen() function fails during the PCI device probe. Clean up all those resources.
