A vulnerability has been found in Rejetto HTTP File Server up to 2.3m and classified as very critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown functionality of the component HTTP Request Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a improper neutralization of special elements used in a template engine vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-1336. Rejetto HTTP File Server, up to and including version 2.3m, is vulnerable to a template injection vulnerability. This vulnerability allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the affected system by sending a specially crafted HTTP request. As of the CVE assignment date, Rejetto HFS 2.3m is no longer supported.
The weakness was shared by Arseniy Sharoglazov. The advisory is shared for download at vulncheck.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2024-23692 since 01/19/2024.
