A vulnerability has been found in OpenVPN 2.0/2.0 Beta11/2.0.1/2.0.2 (Network Encryption Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function foreign_option of the file options.c. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Format string vulnerability in the foreign_option function in options.c for OpenVPN 2.0.x allows remote clients to execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers in a push of the dhcp-option command option.
