Details
A vulnerability has been found in Dogtag CA (unknown version) and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown code block of the component dogtag-pki/pki-core. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a ldap injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-90. The product constructs all or part of an LDAP query using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended LDAP query when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
A flaw was found in dogtag-pki and pki-core. The token authentication scheme can be bypassed with a LDAP injection. By passing the query string parameter sessionID=*, an attacker can authenticate with an existing session saved in the LDAP directory server, which may lead to escalation of privilege.
