A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in ClamAV (Anti-Malware Software). Affected is the function cabd_find of the file cabd.c. The cabd_find function in cabd.c of the libmspack library (mspack) for Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV) before 0.87.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a crafted CAB file that causes cabd_find to be called with a zero length.
The bug was discovered 10/07/2005. The weakness was published 11/04/2005 (Website). The advisory is available at idefense.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2005-3501.
