A vulnerability has been found in AlstraSoft Affiliate Network Pro 7.2 (Advertising Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown code block of the file admin/admin_validate_login. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in AlstraSoft Affiliate Network Pro 7.2 allow remote attackers to bypass authentication and execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) username or (2) password to admin/admin_validate_login, or the (3) login, (4) password, and (5) flag parameters to login_validate.php.
The weakness was disclosed 11/15/2005 by Robin Verton as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2005-3793 since 11/24/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1505 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
It is declared as proof-of-concept.
It is possible to mitigate the problem by adding an authentication mechanism.
