A vulnerability was found in Orbitscripts SmartPPC Pro (the affected version is unknown). It has been classified as problematic. This affects an unknown code of the file directory.php. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in SmartPPC Pro allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the username parameter in (1) directory.php, (2) frames.php, and (3) search.php.
The weakness was disclosed 11/25/2005 by BiPi_HaCk (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at vupen.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2005-3814 since 11/26/2005. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:directory.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
