A vulnerability was found in Omnistar Interactive Omnistar Live up to 5.2 and classified as critical. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file kb.php. The manipulation of the argument category_id with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. SQL injection vulnerability in kb.php in Omnistar Live 5.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) id and (2) category_id parameter. NOTE: due to a typo, an Internet Explorer issue was incorrectly assigned this identifier, but the correct identifier is CVE-2005-3240.

The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
