srvloc.sys in Novell Client for Windows before 4.91 SP3 allows remote attackers to cause an unspecified denial of service via a crafted packet to port 427 that triggers an access of pageable or invalid addresses using a higher interrupt request level (IRQL) than necessary.

The weakness was disclosed 12/07/2006 by Tyler Krpata (Website). The advisory is available at secure-support.novell.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-6307 since 12/05/2006. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
