A vulnerability was found in Archer Platform (Risk Management System). It has been declared as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown function of the component Trusted Application Data Store. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. An issue was discovered in Archer Platform 6 before 2024.06. Authenticated users can achieve HTML content injection. A remote authenticated malicious Archer user could potentially exploit this to store malicious HTML code in a trusted application data store. When victim users access the data store through their browsers, the malicious code gets executed by the web browser in the context of the vulnerable application.
