A vulnerability has been found in Sobexsrv 1.0.0 Pre3 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality of the file obexsrv.c. Format string vulnerability in the dosyslog function in the OBEX server (obexsrv.c) for Sobexsrv before 1.0.0-pre4, when the syslog (-S) function is enabled, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers in file name arguments to OBEX commands.
The bug was discovered 11/03/2005. The weakness was shared 12/02/2005 by Kevin Finisterre (Website). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com.
