A vulnerability was found in Netart Media Blog System 1.2 (Blog Software). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument note with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in Blog System 1.2 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via (1) the cat parameter in index.php and (2) the note parameter in blog.php.
The weakness was disclosed 12/05/2005 by r0t as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2005-4049 since 12/07/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
