Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Mitel 6800, 6900, 6900w and 6970 up to 6.4.0.HF1. Affected is some unknown functionality. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a argument injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-88. The product constructs a string for a command to be executed by a separate component
in another control sphere, but it does not properly delimit the
intended arguments, options, or switches within that command string. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
A vulnerability in the Mitel 6800 Series, 6900 Series, and 6900w Series SIP Phones, including the 6970 Conference Unit, through R6.4.0.HF1 (R6.4.0.136) could allow an authenticated attacker with administrative privilege to conduct an argument injection attack, due to insufficient parameter sanitization during the boot process. A successful exploit could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary commands within the context of the system.
