A vulnerability was found in Blackboard Blackboard Learning And Community Post Systems up to 6.3.1.423 (Forum Software). It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file frameset.jsp. The manipulation of the argument url with an unknown input leads to a unknown weakness. Blackboard Learning and Community Portal System in Academic Suite 6.3.1.424, 6.2.3.23, and other versions before 6 allows remote attackers to redirect users to other URLs and conduct phishing attacks via a modified url parameter to frameset.jsp, which loads the URL into a frame and causes it to appear to be part of a valid page.
The weakness was shared 12/10/2005 by Dr_insane (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2005-4206 since 12/13/2005. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1204.001 for this issue.
