A vulnerability was found in Innovative CMS (Content Management System) (version now known). It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file setting.php. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cleartext storage vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-312. The product stores sensitive information in cleartext within a resource that might be accessible to another control sphere. Impacted is confidentiality. The summary by CVE is:

setting.php in Innovative CMS (ICMS, formerly Imoel-CMS) contains username and password information in cleartext, which might allow attackers to obtain this information via a direct request to setting.php. NOTE: on a properly configured web server, it would be expected that a .php file would be processsed before content is returned to the user, so this might not be a vulnerability.

The weakness was disclosed 12/12/2005 by mehrtash mallahzadeh as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2005-4219 since 12/14/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1555 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
