Cisco Clean Access 3.5.5 and earlier on the Secure Smart Manager allows remote attackers to bypass authentication and cause a denial of service or upload files via direct requests to obsolete JSP files including (1) admin/uploadclient.jsp, (2) apply_firmware_action.jsp, and (3) file.jsp.
The weakness was published 12/16/2005 by Alex Lanstein (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2005-4332 since 12/17/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
