A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in PHP-Fusion 6.0.204 (Content Management System). Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file submit.php. The manipulation of the argument news_body with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in submit.php in PHP-Fusion 6.0.204 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via nested tags in the news_body parameter, as demonstrated by elements such as "<me<meta>ta" and "<sc<script>ript>".
