A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in SysCP webftp 1.2.6. Affected is an unknown code of the file webftp.php. The manipulation of the argument webftp_language with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in webftp.php in SysCP WebFTP 1.2.6 and possibly earlier allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local PHP scripts, and possibly read other types of files, via a .. (dot dot) and a trailing null in the webftp_language parameter.
