The send-private-message functionality (send-private-message.asp) in PD9 Software MegaBBS 2.1 allows remote attackers to read private messages of other users via a modified replyid parameter.
The weakness was shared 01/09/2006 by Hamid Ebadi (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2006-0139 since 01/09/2006. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
