A vulnerability has been found in Woah-projekt phgstats up to 0.5 and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown function of the file phgstats.inc.php. phgstats.inc.php in phgstats before 0.5.1, if register_globals is enabled, allows remote attackers to include arbitrary files and execute arbitrary PHP code by modifying the PHGDIR variable.
The weakness was presented 01/03/2006 by Bjoern Knorr (Website). The advisory is shared at sourceforge.net. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2006-0164 since 01/11/2006. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
