Details
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Linux Kernel up to 5.15.167/6.1.112/6.6.56/6.11.3. Affected by this vulnerability is the function dmam_alloc_coherent of the component amd_sfh. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: amd_sfh: Switch to device-managed dmam_alloc_coherent() Using the device-managed version allows to simplify clean-up in probe() error path. Additionally, this device-managed ensures proper cleanup, which helps to resolve memory errors, page faults, btrfs going read-only, and btrfs disk corruption.
