Details
A vulnerability has been found in Linux Kernel up to 6.11.6 and classified as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is the function idr_remove of the component ath10k. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory leak vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-401. The product does not sufficiently track and release allocated memory after it has been used, which slowly consumes remaining memory. As an impact it is known to affect availability. The summary by CVE is:
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath10k: Fix memory leak in management tx In the current logic, memory is allocated for storing the MSDU context during management packet TX but this memory is not being freed during management TX completion. Similar leaks are seen in the management TX cleanup logic.
