A vulnerability was found in phpBB (Forum Software). It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown code of the file admin/admin_users.php. Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in phpBB 2.0.19, when Link to off-site Avatar or bbcode (IMG) are enabled, allows remote attackers to perform unauthorized actions as a logged in user via a link or IMG tag in a user profile, as demonstrated using links to (1) admin/admin_users.php and (2) modcp.php.
The weakness was disclosed 02/03/2006 by Maksymilian Arciemowicz (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2006-0438 since 01/26/2006. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
It is declared as highly functional. By approaching the search of inurl:admin/admin_users.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
