A vulnerability was found in Linux Kernel up to 6.11.8 and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is the function access_ok of the component ufence. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a buffer overflow vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-120. The product copies an input buffer to an output buffer without verifying that the size of the input buffer is less than the size of the output buffer, leading to a buffer overflow. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/ufence: Prefetch ufence addr to catch bogus address access_ok() only checks for addr overflow so also try to read the addr to catch invalid addr sent from userspace.
