A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in PHP iCalendar 2.0.1 (Programming Language Software). Affected by this vulnerability is the function parse of the file search.php. The manipulation of the argument file with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in PHP iCalendar 2.0.1, 2.1, and 2.2 allow remote attackers to include arbitrary files via the (1) getdate and possibly other parameters used in the replace_files function in search.php and (2) $file variable as used in the parse function in functions/template.php.
